Welcome to my website! I am Betsy Robbins, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), in practice on the southside of Indianapolis.
As a therapist, I will: guide, help, challenge, facilitate, validate, motivate and provide options within the journey of change and growth.
Most individuals, couples and families are in the process of transition. Some transitions can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate without help. From a place of non-judgement, my intent is to help guide my clients through these transitions. I offer counseling as a process through which clients can identify alternatives and solutions.
While I am optimistic that counseling can help, I am also realistic. My clients must commit to the process and want counseling to be helpful or it won’t be. Issues brought to therapy will affect the nature of the time spent.
I am goal oriented and work with my clients to assess their needs. I hold both positive regard and hope. The focus is on both insight and solutions. Hopefully, by guiding my clients through the process, I can help them become healthier for themselves and in their relationships as they proceed along the way.

About
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University and a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Christian Theological Seminary. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty years of experience.
I have been featured in grief discussions on local news, quoted in The Indianapolis Star and interviewed on WIBC Radio. Additionally, I was interviewed by Debby Knox for WTTV Channel 4, CBS.
I am a lifelong resident of the southside of Indianapolis. I have three daughters (and assorted family members) (and friends) whom I dearly love.
You will find me to be as devoted to you as I am to the therapeutic process. My practice is named "Along the Way" because I believe things happen to us throughout our lives... along the way...and that help is available when needed.
